Import content from another courseΒΆ

When you copy or import a Canvas course, Topic Selector content is included automatically. Before students can select topics, review and update the Topic Selector settings.

  1. Navigate to the Topic Selector app in your Canvas course.

  2. Review the following details:

    • Dates: Click the kabob (three dots) icon next to each topic or topic set to update any dates and times.
    • Settings: Click the gear icon to review app settings and adjust any lock dates or restrictions.
    • Topics: Verify that each topic has the correct number of slots. You can review availability under Selections, and update slots by going to Topics, then clicking the kabob (three dots) icon next to a topic.
    • Allow students to select topics: Verify this option is enabled if desired.
