Select a topic

1. Navigate to the Topic Selector app in your Canvas course.
2. Browse the available topics. Each topic shows the number of remaining slots.
3. Click Select Topic for the topic you want.

4. You may not be able to select a topic if:

   • No slots remain for the topic.
   • Your instructor has disabled student topic selection.
   • Topic selection is locked until a specific date or time.

5. (Optional) If prompted, enter any additional information requested by your instructor, then click Select Topic.

6. After selecting a topic:

   • The button changes to Undo Selection and turns green.
   • A green checkmark appears next to your selected topic.

7. (Optional) If enabled by your instructor, you can view other students’ selections by expanding the Students Who Have Selected This Topic section.
